Shrewsbury International School India is launching a 150-acre campus in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, with a commitment to offering world-class, holistic education that integrates India’s rich cultural heritage with global standards. Catering to students aged 11 to 18, the co-educational residential boarding school will follow the British National Curriculum, leading to Cambridge International examinations and A-Level courses, according to a press release.
Abhishek Mohan Gupta, Founder and President of the Board of Management at Shrewsbury International School India, emphasized that the campus aims to offer a curriculum that balances academic excellence with holistic development. “Students will experience the best of both worlds—a curriculum that fosters intellectual growth while nurturing cultural identity,” Gupta stated.
The state-of-the-art campus will feature a 160,000-square-foot academic block, 20 diverse sports facilities, and a 40,000-square-foot performing arts school. It will also house a dedicated language center, offering instruction in over six languages, fostering linguistic and cultural diversity.
In addition to standard academic programs, the school will provide specialized laboratories for subjects such as Design and Technology, Science, and Astronomy. Cutting-edge sports facilities will offer students the opportunity to engage in unique activities, including Indoor Rowing, Scuba Diving, and Fencing, underscoring the institution’s focus on well-rounded student development.
In partnership with Trinity College London, the school will also offer students diplomas in music and dramatics, further enriching its academic and extracurricular offerings.
A special event was recently held in Amritsar, where prospective students and parents had the opportunity to engage with the school’s promoters and newly appointed Founding Headmaster, Dominic Tomalin. Discussions on admissions for the 2025-2026 academic session were also conducted.
