Established in 2007 by Shri Ketan Deshpande, a JBS University of Cambridge Fellow and Ashoka Fellow, the FUEL social organization has had a transformative impact on over 1.2 million young lives through education and skill development initiatives across various CSR programs in India and around the world.
Addressing the rapidly evolving landscape of business and entrepreneurship, FUEL took a significant step towards nurturing the future generation of business leaders by unveiling the much-anticipated FUEL Business School during the FUEL Annual Conclave 2023. Renowned for delivering quality education and career development opportunities to over 1.2 million Indian youths, FUEL now aspires to make a substantial mark in the field of business studies.
The inauguration of the FUEL Business School was graced by Honorable Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Cabinet Minister for Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship & Innovation. This endorsement from a prominent government official further underscored the significance of the endeavor.
Commenting on the occasion, Honorable Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha stated, “It’s like stepping into a modern-day Gurukul; FUEL has crafted a stunning and harmonious learning environment. Also, the support FUEL receives from CSR goes beyond financial aid; it’s a bond of trust.”
Ketan Deshpande, Founder and Chairman of FUEL, expressed excitement about the launch of the FUEL Business School, expressing gratitude to Dr. Kiran Patel, Indian American Philanthropist, Serial Entrepreneur & Cardiologist, for pledging 7 Million USD from the 200 Million USD University project. This contribution will play a pivotal role in establishing the university. The goal is to involve corporate leaders and CSR founding partners in preparing the next wave of business and social leaders.
Dr. Kiran Patel, reflecting on his partnership with Ketan Deshpande, emphasized their shared goal of providing meaningful employment opportunities to youth, enabling them to become successful and positive contributors to society.
The inauguration of the FUEL Business School was marked by insightful panel discussions during the FUEL Annual Conclave 2023. These discussions brought together industry leaders to share their expertise and experiences, focusing on critical topics like HR, CSR, and green skills for a better future.
Mr. Santosh Huralikoppi, Chief Mentor of FUEL, highlighted the organization’s journey over the past 15 years, expanding across continents and impacting the lives of 1.2 million youths. He also spoke about the forthcoming FUEL University with a social enterprise background dedicated to addressing ESG factors, skill development, and entrepreneurship gap.
Dr. Pratima Sheorey, Dean of FUEL Business School, stressed the importance of quality human resources to achieve the country’s goals. She affirmed that FUEL Business School’s objective is to provide those in need with access to quality business education, believing that India’s journey from the fifth-largest to the third-largest economy will be propelled by its youth.
