Indian Army inaugurates modern IT infrastructure room at Government Senior Secondary School, Kalaktang, West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. Operation Sadbhavana aims to bring about holistic transformation in digital education and bridge the technological gap in the country’s farthest corner.

The modern IT infrastructure installed shall provide a new facility that shall make available an interactive learning environment for students. Hitherto, digital tools and resources were inaccessible to students; this shall now become possible. Thus, it should be the first step in educational growth in the region for students to acquire more skills and know-how in order to keep up with such an increasingly digital world of today.

School Headmaster Mr. Osup Tasar Inauguration ceremony School Headmaster Mr. Osup Tasar offered his gratitude and hope for the future. “This new IT room will greatly improve the educational opportunities for our students. It will not only provide access to modern technology but also help prepare them for challenges in the future workforce,” Tasar said. This room is a digital hub for the school, providing a means by which students can interact through interactive learning modules, online resources, and technology-based education programs.

This is in line with the Indian government’s “Digital India” program, which focuses on bringing more people into the realm of digital inclusion within the country. The program provides the access to the entire needed digital infrastructure and services required in many areas that are underserved and rural. Creating this IT room does not just give students in Kalaktang all the tools needed to take part in the modern-day digital economy but also supports more general Digital India goals.

This is part of the larger exercise undertaken by the Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavana, which works in tandem with the overall objectives of targeting local communities and improving infrastructure in the far-flung areas. Once the educational facilities are up graded, the Army assists the children in acquiring critical skills that go towards the development of this region on the socio-economic front.

The IT room shall become a model for further digital education projects in the state of Arunachal Pradesh and increases accessibility to technology-driven learning in rural areas.
