BHU Begins 3 New Scholarships as it Bags Donations under Pratidana Initiative

Banaras Hindu University (BHU), through its Pratidana program, has received donations, which have enabled the university to establish three new scholarships. Rahul Srivastava, a Mumbai-based corporate leader, made a donation in honor of his maternal grandmother, paternal grandfather, and paternal aunt. Srivastava’s father retired from the Central Public Works Department as Additional Director General after decades of contributions to numerous projects. He later worked as Advisor (Works) at IIT-Gandhinagar for over a decade and was instrumental in the development of its iconic campus, according to the press release.
Banaras Hindu University’s Pratidana project seeks donations from alumni and supporters to develop scholarships for meritorious students, provide need-based financial aid, improve learning opportunities, and promote excellence in teaching.

Meanwhile, the University has designed 15 new SWAYAM courses for the 2024 term. Banaras Hindu University’s (BHU) courses have been designed to meet the needs and aspirations of students.

According to the press release, these courses will begin on July 22 and will allow students to improve their knowledge and abilities in a variety of subjects from the fields of management, commerce, science, medical, social sciences, humanities, and philosophy.
