INDIAN NAVY DAY 2023: HOW TO JOIN INDIAN NAVY AS OFFICER

Indian Navy Day is celebrated on December 4 every year to commemorate the Indian Navy's role in the Indo-Pak war of 1971.

To join the Indian Navy as an officer, one can apply through the National Defence Academy (NDA) or the Naval Academy Examination (NAE).

The NDA exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice a year, while the NAE is conducted by the Indian Navy once a year.

Candidates must be between 16.5 and 19.5 years of age to apply for the NDA exam, and between 17 and 21 years of age to apply for the NAE.

The selection process includes a written exam, physical fitness test, and an interview. Successful candidates undergo training at the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, Kerala.
