The Vice President Encourages Industry Leaders to Allocate Funds from Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiatives Towards Girls’ Education

Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, in his speech at Indraprastha College for Women, called upon corporate and industry leaders to support educational institutions, especially those focused on girls’ education. He made these remarks while addressing students during the centenary celebrations of Indraprastha College for Women.

The Vice President urged for the utilization of corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds to support educational institutions, expressing willingness to engage with industry leaders on this matter. Emphasizing the significance of students as vital stakeholders in democracy, Dhankhar advised them to be ambitious, underscoring the existing ecosystem that empowers girls to harness their talents and fulfill their potential. “Now is the time for you to dream big, to envision the future as you desire,” he remarked.

Additionally, the Vice President highlighted the impact of effective governance in empowering women, enabling them to play pivotal roles in India’s journey towards Bharat@2047. “You, as leaders, will spearhead our efforts to propel India towards becoming a developed nation. You will elevate it to the forefront among the global community,” he concluded.

Education holds the power to foster equality. Describing education as the most potent tool for transformation, Dhankhar emphasized its role in bringing about societal equality. Underscoring the significance of girls’ education, he remarked, “Girl education is a revolution; it marks the dawn of a new era.”

The Vice President stressed that the current era is one of hope and boundless possibilities. “India stands as a global economic powerhouse and a preferred investment destination, offering unparalleled growth opportunities. The world’s gaze is upon us,” he further commented.

Reflecting on recent initiatives such as the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam,’ ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign, and the distribution of LPG connections, Dhankhar remarked, “We are experiencing a pivotal moment in this century. Girls are shaping India’s growth.”

Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor of Delhi University, Alok B Shriram, Chairperson of the Governing Body, faculty members, students, and other dignitaries graced the occasion with their presence.
