The BAMSME project has been developed to target persons who have completed their 10+2 education. This initiative seeks to provide students with the information and skills necessary to start and run new businesses.

The BAMSME programme will be offered via Open and Distance Learning (ODL), making it accessible to a broader audience. The programme is designed to be flexible, with a minimum duration of three years, spanning six semesters, and a maximum duration of six years. Students will accumulate a total of 120 credits, with 20 credits per semester. The medium of instruction is English, and the programme fee is set at Rs 5,100 per year, amounting to Rs. 15,300 for the entire three-year course.

According to an IGNOU statement, the program’s key goals are to help business owners run their businesses successfully and profitably, to improve managerial abilities, and to give an innovative, competency-based approach to entrepreneurial education.
